Latter Rain Ministries International, Inc. (LRMI) is a non-profit evangelical organization with its arms reaching out to humankind all over the world. Founded in 1992 by Willie and Francie Jones, it has extended its international ministry to such countries as Haiti, Philippines, Guyana-South America, Belize-Central America, Trinidad, Sierra Leone–W. Africa, The Bahamas, England and other parts of the world. Sending the Gospel via worldwide radio, missions and Bible distribution, LRMI has been able to reach thousands of people with the good news of Jesus Christ in this end-time age.
At home, in the United States, LRMI is committed to sharing and caring in the hospitals, prisons, juvenile detention centers and children’s homes. With a dedicated team of laborers from a variety of church organizations, their primary goal is to present a message of hope and salvation to those who are hurting in society. Concentrated efforts have been launched to make a difference in the lives of the youth in the inner cities by providing ministry through teaching, music and counseling at such facilities as Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall, Florence Crittenton Girl’s Home and Dorothy Kirby Children’s Center in Los Angeles, California.
LRMI is currently in the process of establishing home for pregnant teens and teen mothers called Standing Tall Home for Girls. Other projects are envisioned for the future such as a school for girls and a Young Women’s Haven to assist young mothers trying to get back on their feet who would otherwise have no place to go. |
