STHFG opened its doors to share the holiday spirit with New Beginnings (Riverside) girls groups home during the month of December. Joined by guests and volunteers the group sang carols, along with keyboardist Elder Stephen Berkley, listened to words of encouragement and testimonies from members of Greater Open Door Church (North Long Beach, CA). Ann Brown (STHFG Director) got the girls teamed up for a gift wrapping competition which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. They also received gifts purchased by generous donations of LRMI partners and enjoyed a delicious Christmas buffet. The birth of Jesus was the centerpiece of the fellowship.
The oldie sounds of Low Rider Joe were a hit with the group. His personal lyrics tell of his own challenges and faith journey. Even from his wheel chair, Brother Joseph Ochoa proclaimed the goodness of God.
